Thank you from the WGUK Judges Caption Head

The 2009 Winterguard Championships will go down in my opinion as one of the best Finals I have adjudicated at and this is my 12th consecutive year!

The crowd were really responsive of all units and were cheering and willing everyone on, especially their rival units. The performances were out of this world and the performers really had worked hard to produce the level of entertainment we all witnessed last Saturday.

My job as a judge was an enjoyable one, I had the best seat in the house and was moved, excited and in awe of all performances.

The day went smoothly - OK we were running a little behind at times but we managed to get back on track. The people running British Championships work tirelessly for weeks before the event and even more so on the day and they all volunteer their help some starting at 7.30am and not finishing until gone 10.30pm so all of us colour guard fans can have a great day.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved with the Championships whether you were a spectator, volunteer or more importantly one of those wonderful performers. You made my day.

It has been a long time since I have seen a Mexican Wave go across the seats at Championships and everyone joining in.
