Good Luck to Mayflower & Northern Academy at WGI Championships from WGUK

On Sunday 4th April Northern Academy left the UK closely followed on Monday 5th by Mayflower to both travel to the USA to prepare to compete at the Winterguard International World Champions in Dayton, Ohio.

WGUK would to wish both units a safe and enjoyable trip and on behalf of everyone involved with this great activity we wish them all the best of luck as they represent their county on the world stage.

Both units have their prelims performances on Thursday 8th with Northern Academy competing against 36 others (including The Pride from The Netherlands - the other European units making the trip) in the Independent Open Class to win a place into the top 24 to take part in the Semi Finals on Friday 9th whilst Mayflower have 33 other units to contend with as they compete for one of the 24 places in the Independent World Class Semi Finals also on Friday 9th.

On Saturday 10th April the top 15 of the 24 from each Semi Finals move on to compete in their relevant Finals contests and we hope to keep you all updated as to how our two units get on.
