Anchormen promoted to A Class

Winter Guard United Kingdom are pleased to confirm and announce that, following reaching the promotion score in the Junior Class at the Halifax contest last weekend (Sunday 4th February 2018) and also satisfying the promotion criteria, Anchormen have been promoted into the A Class with immediate effect.

Mick Moss, Anchormen Corps Director, commented "This Sunday I witnessed one of the best performances by an Anchormen Junior guard in competition. To gain promotion in only their second show is a momentous achievement and reward for their work rate, dedication and enthusiasm over the last 6 months. They have made all of us at the Anchormen extremely proud and we thank them for what they have achieved so far. They are excited and ready to continue to work hard over the coming weeks and looking forward to competing in A Class for the rest of the season."

Proud Dance teacher, Tony Lees, also commented "The Juniors have a boundless work ethic this season. We are one big happy family. We work together to create a team to be as successful as we can be. There have been tears along the way and teenage tantrums but is it worth it? Yes, of course!"

Tony also added "It's the second time for two Anchormen performers to be promoted. Evie Clayton and Daisy Webb were members of the Anchormen Cadets when they were promoted to Juniors back in 2013. When Evie was asked how she felt, she responded "It makes me feel proud to accomplish this because when I was a cadet, I was little and didn’t understand what we had done as a team together and now I’m older I’m really chuffed to have all supported each other on our journey together to the A class". Daisy with a smile from both ears said "It makes me feel happy to know that we can achieve, and what we have achieved. I am proud of what we have done and excited to be taking part in A class". A big mention to all who are involved with the Anchormen organisation. Without the full parent support, instructional staff and dedicated members, the Anchormen would not be where it is today. Thank you. sp.x"

At their next WGUK contest, Stoke on Sunday 25th February, Anchormen will be performing last in their new class and congratulations to all involved on this great achievement.
